Syrian Expert House Delegation to Hold Public Event in Paris

The Delegation to Discuss Syria Transition Roadmap in the Arab World Institute

Washington, DC – On March 27 and 28, 2014 a delegation from the Syrian Expert House, will hold a number of meetings for briefing key French policymakers, journalists, academics, and civil society organizations on Syria Transition Roadmap, a document recently published by the Syrian Center for Political and Strategic Studies and the Syrian Expert House on the post-conflict democratic political transition in Syria.

The Syrian delegation, which includes activists coming directly from inside Syria, will also give a presentation on Syria Transition Roadmap at a public event on Friday, March 28 at 7:00 pm at the Arab World Institute. Journalists and the general public are welcome to attend the event.


The Syrian delegation will include: Dr. Radwan Ziadeh, Executive Director of the Syrian Center for Political and Strategic Studies, President of the Syrian Commission for Transitional Justice, and Team Leader of the Syrian Expert House Working Group on Transitional Justice and National Reconciliation; Badr Jamous, Secretary-General of the National Coalition of Syrian Revolution and Opposition Forces; Ekhlas Badawi, a former Syrian MP and a member of the Syrian Expert House Working Group on Political and Administrative Reform; and Rania Kisar, a member of the Syrian Expert House and activist based in Idlib, Syria.


Syria Transition Roadmap, an opposition vision of the democratic political transition in Syria, covers the topics of constitutional reform, political and administrative reform, electoral reform, economic reform, transitional justice, and security sector reform and has been endorsed by the Syrian National Coalition and the Syrian Interim Government.
